Jonathan is the owner of the James Graven Group based in Cambridgeshire. The business owns and operates Budgens at Dersingham in Norfolk. Jonathan also owns James Convenience Retail Ltd which operates 110 stores across the Uk. 

Jonathan was the founding Chairman of the Budgens National Retailer Council, is a former member of the NACS International Committee and was Chairman of ACS for three years. Jonathan is the current Chairman of the ACS Retailer Board. 

Katie joined ACS in 2012, having grown her role to the current position of Supplier Relations Manager, reporting to the Head of Supplier Relations. Katie supports the commercial growth strategy of ACS through the recruitment and retention of supplier members, concentrating specifically on the Premier Club package. Responsible for enhancing the relationships with existing members, Katie develops an understanding of individual member’s core needs, creating joint business plans and working towards implementing their KPIs.

Will joined ACS as Commercial Assistant in 2011 and has worked up through the organisation to become Head of Supplier Relations.

As Head of Supplier Relations at ACS, Will actively seeks to recruit and retain members across all membership streams through ensuring that maximum value is gained through membership, as well as organising the most topical and relevant events to provide networking and sharing of best practice across the sector.

Sarah joined ACS in 2007 as Events Coordinator, working her way up her current role of Head of Retailer Engagement. Sarah is not leaving events behind, but will continue to have responsibility for the growing portfolio, which  is approximately 50 per year, including study tours and the annual ACS Conference. In her new role her responsibility now includes overseeing all retailer memberships, encouraging more retailers to join and also to ensure that all retailers get the most out of membership.

Chris joined ACS in October 2009 having graduated from York University with a degree in English and Linguistics. As Communications Director, Chris is responsible for all ACS external and internal communications, media relations and a growing research portfolio which includes the industry leading Local Shop Report.

Chris is an official spokesperson for ACS, appearing frequently on national and regional radio and television including BBC News, Sky News, BBC Breakfast and the Daily Politics show. 

James was appointed ACS Chief Executive in November 2006. He has led ACS on political and policy representation, driven a unique research programme that informs ACS’ policy work, launched an industry-leading assured advice scheme in partnership with Surrey County Council, and created a new and unique events programme. James is a member of ministerial advisory groups including the National Retail Crime Steering Group and the Retail Sector Council.
