The House of Commons’ Home Affairs Committee launched an inquiry into abuse and violence towards retail workers. The inquiry will focus on police responses to reported incidents, and the calls for a new aggravated offence. The inquiry will involve a public survey, run by the Committee, for people who have experienced violence or abuse in their place of work and to gain an understanding of what happens after an incident is reported.
