WIRED Executive Editor Jeremy White Confirmed for Summit18

ACS is delighted to announce that WIRED Executive Editor and technology expert Jeremy White has been confirmed to speak at Summit18, the biggest convenience event of the year.

As WIRED’s Executive Editor, Jeremy evaluates the qualities of new products and their impact on established markets and industries, relating this to how organisations can improve their own designs and adopt innovative thinking ahead of future threats and opportunities.

As well as being the Executive Editor, Jeremy is in charge of compiling WIRED’s GEAR product supplements and curating the live product experiences at their events. He also writes on all things gadget-related for The Telegraph Luxury website and magazine, as well as Harrods. Previously, he was the Digital Editor for How To Spend It at the Financial Times, and Technology Editor at Esquire magazine. He regularly appears on the BBC and Sky, and is one of the nominators for the Design Museum's Designs of the Year awards.

ACS’ Summit is the annual premier convenience store event, bringing together hundreds of retailers, suppliers and industry experts from around the globe in a debate about the future of the convenience store industry in the UK.

This year’s Summit will be divided into two sessions, each featuring presentations from industry leaders, panel discussions and films showing the best of innovation in convenience stores. The sessions will explore the opportunities and challenges facing the sector and provide insights and inspiration for retailers to take home and implement within their stores.

Other speakers already confirmed for Summit include:

  • Lord Mark Price, former MD of Waitrose, and former trade minister
  • Jo Whitfield, Chief Executive of Co-operative Food
  • Debbie Robinson, Managing Director of SPAR UK (session chair)
  • David Robinson, Managing Director of Conviviality Retail
  • Mike Igoe, Commercial Director of Heron Foods (session chair)
  • A video tour of some of the most innovative convenience stores in the UK and Europe presented by ACS Commercial Director Paul Chamberlain.

After Summit, the ACS Explorers - a group of some of the leading retailers in the UK - will take to the stage at the National Convenience Show to share what they’ve discovered when seeking out some of the big issues and technological developments coming to the UK.

Summit18 takes place at The Vox in Birmingham on 17 April 2018. Tickets are available now, to find out more information and secure your place, click here or email [email protected].
