Quail Digital has been honoured as a winner of the first ever King’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category.

Quail Digital is one of 148 organisations nationally to be recognised with a prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise. Announced today (Friday 21 April), Quail Digital has been recognised for excelling in international trade. A total of 78 International Trade recipients have been honoured this year.

Employing 22 people, Quail Digital was established in 1995 and manufactures professional wireless headset systems to improve team communication in the retail, healthcare and restaurant sectors.

Tom Downes, Founder & CEO said ‘We’re delighted to be a recipient of The King’s Award for Enterprise. It is welcome recognition for all the people in our business and our distribution partners around the world. International trade is vital for our business and important for the wider economy and we expect to see continued strong growth going forward.

15,000 supermarkets & shops use Quail Digital headset systems because staff work more effectively when they communicate as a team throughout the working day.

Staff shortages are not limited to the UK, they are a global problem. Headsets enable understaffed shops to work smarter, enabling smaller teams to do more with fewer people.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise was previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, and the new name reflects His Majesty The King’s desire to continue the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II’s by recognising outstanding UK businesses. The Award programme, now in its 57th year, is the most prestigious business award in the country, with successful businesses able to use the esteemed King’s Awards Emblem for the next five years.

Applications for King’s Awards for Enterprise 2024 open on His Majesty The King’s Coronation, 6th May 2023 For more information, visit https://www.gov.uk/kingsawards-for-enterprise.
