Save the Date for ACS’ Rural Shop Report 2022 Parliamentary Launch!

Save the date for the parliamentary launch of ACS’ Rural Shop Report 2022, taking place on Tuesday 25th January 2022.

The launch event will explore the findings of the report, providing a comprehensive overview of rural shops in the convenience sector and the role that they play in communities across the UK.

MP for North Devon, Selaine Saxby, has been confirmed to speak at the launch and will talk about the importance of rural stores in her constituency.

ACS chief executive James Lowman will outline the key findings of the report and highlight the policy priorities for rural retailers.

The event will also feature discussions with rural retailers who will provide details on the day to day running of their stores and what running a rural store means to them.

ACS chief executive James Lowman said: “We are excited to be returning to parliament to come together to look at the findings of our 2022 report and celebrate the important role that rural convenience stores play in their communities and to the overall economy.”
