Join us on Tuesday 5th March at the Eastside Rooms, Central Birmingham for the first ever Safe and Responsible Retailing Conference. This new event brings together experts in crime prevention, responsible retailing and product regulation to give you the tools you need to navigate these crucial issues in 2024.

We will be unravelling the big changes coming to vaping and tobacco regulations this year, providing a first look at the extent of crime and abuse in the convenience sector through the launch of the 2024 Crime Report, and discussing new advice on key areas like imported goods, age restricted sales, food safety and more.

Confirmed speakers for the event include:

-    James Skidmore, Valpak

-    Avatar Sidhu, Budgens
-    Helen Clayton, Head of Crime and Security, Sainsbury's
-    Simon Gordon, Founder of Facewatch

ACS chief executive James Lowman said: “We are excited to be hosting this new event which has been designed to help our sector to build on its credentials as a responsible industry playing a crucial role in the communities we serve. The conference will explore a number of key issues affecting the convenience sector and I would urge anyone working in or with local shops to attend so that they can keep up to date on the latest legislation and be a part of these important discussions.”

The day will conclude with a retailer-only session where you can ask the ACS team any questions that you have about the topics discussed throughout the day.
