Last Chance to Book for the ACS Local Shop Report 2014 Launch

On September 10th, ACS will be launching the latest edition of its flagship research project, The Local Shop Report 2014, at an exclusive event at The Studio in Birmingham.

The report brings together new ACS research with existing data from him!, William Reed and IGD to give a compelling snapshot of the convenience sector today. Previous reports have been used in the industry by retailers, suppliers, Government, academics and analysts as the baseline for understanding the local shop market.

ACS Chief Executive James Lowman will be chairing the event and unveiling the exciting new results from the report. He will then table two panel discussions, one with the research agencies involved in the report: him!, William Reed, Nielsen and IGD. The other panel will focus on retailers, including Amanda Jones, Chief Operating Officer of Nisa Retail, and Michael O’Loughlin, Managing Director of Applegreen GB. The event will be attended by a wide range of industry leaders from symbol groups, convenience chains and independents, leading suppliers, and trade media.

ACS Chief Executive James Lowman said: “The Local Shop Report provides a refreshing look into the lives of those running convenience stores, exploring their background, the hours they work, the kind of people they employ and more. The report and its launch are invaluable sources of information with new insights into the importance of the convenience store sector”.

The event is free to all ACS members. To book your place now, please contact contact Sarah Johnson on 01252 515001, or by emailsarah.johnson@acs.org.uk
