GroceryAid Launches New ‘Always Open’ Campaign

GroceryAid has launched a brand new awareness campaign as part of GroceryAid Day 2023, to highlight the range of services that they have available to colleagues who may be in need of support.

Launched today (10th May) the new ‘Always Open’ campaign aims to remind retailers and colleagues that GroceryAid is always open, providing free and confidential emotional, practical and financial support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to any colleague working in the grocery industry.

GroceryAid has developed a range of printed materials, including posters, leaflets, stickers and wallet cards that employers can order and distribute internally. The materials can be found here.

The charity has also created a set of digital materials, including social media assets and digital banners, that can be downloaded directly from the website.

ACS chief executive James Lowman said: “We are encouraging retailers to take some time to think about wellbeing, both in terms of their business and their own mental and emotional wellbeing. It is important for all colleagues in our sector to familiarise themselves with where they can turn to if they are in need of any additional help or support.

“GroceryAid is a fantastic charity which provides meaningful support to colleagues working in our sector through its range of services and we are proud to support the new ‘Always Open’ campaign.”

ACS has developed a Wellbeing Guide which provides convenience retailers of all sizes with practical advice about supporting wellbeing to staff stores effectively, covering shop floor colleagues to business owners.

GroceryAid’s Helpline is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing immediate emotional support and guidance, colleagues can access support by calling 08088 021 122. Colleagues can also access online help and guidance through the charity’s website www.groceryaid.org.uk.
