Book your place at the launch of ACS’ 2022 Rural Shop Report, taking place in the Churchill Room, House of Commons on Tuesday 25th January 2022.

The launch event will explore the findings of the report, providing a comprehensive overview of rural shops in the convenience sector and the role that they play in communities across the UK.

DEFRA Minister for Rural Affairs Lord Benyon has been confirmed to speak at the parliamentary launch and will outline the government’s vision for the rural economy, from supporting entrepreneurship, incentivising investment and meeting environmental ambitions.

MP for North Devon, Selaine Saxby, has also been confirmed to speak at the launch about her work as a rural MP and retailer Rachael Hockmeyer, Spar Sleaford will talk about her experiences of running a rural petrol forecourt and shop over the past year. ACS chief executive James Lowman will outline the key findings of the report and highlight policy priorities for rural retailers.

This event provides a great opportunity for retailers to meet MPs, network with retailers and examine the changing landscape and policy priorities for the rural shop sector.
