ACS is inviting retailers to attend the Cross-Party Group on Small Shops’ annual reception in the National Assembly for Wales to launch the Welsh Local Shop Report 2018.
The Welsh Local Shop Report will provide a comprehensive overview of the convenience sector in Wales and the latest trends, including profiles of the entrepreneurs that run them, the investments they make and services they provide in the community.
Retailers attending this event will be able to meet their Assembly Members and hear from the Minister for Entrepreneurship about what the Welsh Government is doing to support local shops.
Speakers include:
- Ken Skates AM - Ken is Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Transport for the Welsh Government. He will provide the keynote speech as Minister responsible for the growth and development of business in Wales and entrepreneurship.
- Janet Finch-Saunders AM - Janet is Chair of the Cross-Party Group on Small Shops and Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Local Government. She will provide an overview of the latest work of the Cross-Party Group and Supporting Entrepreneurship Inquiry.
- James Lowman, ACS – ACS’ Chief Executive James Lowman will present an overview of the report’s findings and what these means for retailers and local shops across Wales.
The reception will be taking place on 7th February 2018, 17:30-19:30 in the Oriel Room, Ty Hywel, National Assembly for Wales.
