ACS Welcomes VCA to Club Membership

Video analytics solutions provider VCA Technology has reinforced its commitment to convenience retailing in the UK, by becoming a Club member of the Association of Convenience Stores.

The move follows the company’s recent appointment of Andy Frost as Retail Sales Manager - Europe

VCA Technology have over 350,000 installations worldwide providing not just security & loss prevention but most importantly Business Intelligence on footfall and heatmapping of shopper movements in store. This will provide accurate figures on customer numbers to enable better understanding of conversion rates and improved product placement for a better customer experience and improved revenues. And it believes that creating even closer links with the convenience sector will help retailers further increase the sales and profits offered by VCA’s expanding platform of analytics, to offer additional services within the retail arena.

“Our solutions are already making a vital contribution to the success of retail in general and now specifically in convenience stores across the UK, and we expect that to continue long into the future,” says Andy, who joined VCA in April from Cybertill. “That is why we have been introducing a number of recent key initiatives dedicated to convenience retailing, which offer a low cost entry into footfall technology that can only benefit the retailer regardless of whether they are a single store or a multiple.

“Over one third of our sales are already in retail and we expect this to grow as market awareness of the simplicity of the solution picks up. Retailers can’t help but gain significant rewards from improving conversion rates, enhancing customer shopping expectations and scheduling staff requirements in the knowledge that they have the right level of cover for the occasion.”

VCA Technology is joining ACS as a Club member, signalling its standing as a trusted supplier to the convenience store sector.

“Our membership of ACS will allow us to attend a number of the Association’s key events throughout the year and we are looking forward to forging even closer links with the convenience retailers, who play such an important role in the continuing and growing success of the UK retail sector,” adds Andy.

“We are delighted to welcome VCA Technology into Club membership.  This demonstrates VCA’s commitment to the convenience sector, and our members are looking forward to working with them and discussing how they can work together to develop the convenience store sector,” says James Lowman ACS Chief Executive.
