ACS Highlights Mental Health and Wellbeing Support

ACS (the Association of Convenience Stores) is reminding retailers about the emotional, financial and practical support that is available through GroceryAid for colleagues and their families.

GroceryAid is a national charity, offering a range of support for colleagues working across the industry, including manufacturing, supermarkets, independents, wholesalers, distribution, sales and all support functions.

GroceryAid has a helpline and a live chat which are available 24/7, 365 days a year and provide free and confidential emotional support to anyone working in the grocery industry.

ACS chief executive James Lowman said: “We are reminding retailers to make sure that mental health and wellbeing is a priority in their business and to check in with colleagues to make sure that they are aware of where they can turn if they face difficulties and are in need of support.

“GroceryAid is a fantastic charity which provides our sector with a range of valuable resources and I would urge colleagues to make use of the help and support that they offer.”

ACS has developed a Wellbeing Guide which provides convenience retailers of all sizes with practical advice about supporting wellbeing to staff stores effectively, covering shop floor colleagues to business owners.
