ACS: Get Involved with Small Business Saturday 2020!

ACS (the Association of Convenience Stores) is encouraging local shops to get involved with Small Business Saturday 2020, taking place this Saturday (December 4th).

Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots campaign which actively encourages shoppers to ‘shop local’ and support the small businesses in their local communities. The campaign is now in its eighth year and aims to have a lasting impact on small businesses.

Highlights from last year’s campaign include:

  • 17.6 million people turned out at small businesses - a record for the campaign and an increase of more than four million people from 2018
  • #SmallBizSatUK and #SmallBusinessSaturday were the UK’s top two trends throughout the day

ACS chief executive James Lowman said: “Small Business Saturday highlights the essential role that small businesses play in our communities and it is vital that these businesses are supported, particularly in light of the disruption caused by the coronavirus crisis.

“We are delighted to support Small Business Saturday and would encourage everyone to get involved on December 4th.”

For more information, visit the Small Business Saturday website, where retailers can register their business to be included on the national Small Business Finder, as well as access marketing packs for the day.

You can also keep up to date by following the hashtag #SmallBizSatUK on Twitter.
