ACS (the Association of Convenience Stores) is encouraging retailers to enter their local area into the Great British High Street Awards (GBHS) 2018. Run by the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government, the awards recognise and celebrate the local achievements of the nation’s high streets.
High streets can win up to £10,000 for their local community and the opportunity for their local businesses and consumers to participate in a Visa GBHS Spend & Win Competition, which rewards the people that make high streets special. For more information and to register your interest, visit here.
Winners will be named across England, Scotland, Wales and for the first time in the history of the awards- Northern Ireland.
There are two categories in the awards, the Champion High Street and Rising Star High Street, plus an overall High Street of the Year will also be named. The Champion High Street category will celebrate the nation’s best high streets and the Rising Star High Street will look at the nation’s most ambitious and innovative high streets.
