Recognising 25 Unsung Heroes
As part of our 25th anniversary activity, we would like to recognise people that have made a positive difference to ACS. Some people receive public profile for their work with ACS – and with good reason – but we want to use this opportunity to recognise those who make a big contribution behind the scenes, working with the team to support our core objectives as a trade association of holding the government to account through effective campaigning, helping retailers learn about regulation and challenges facing their businesses, and providing opportunities for people in the sector to connect.

Our Event Host: Sally Phillips
Sally’s face is synonymous with the best of British comedy – Miranda, Smack the Pony, Alan Partridge and Bridget Jones – and she has been listed in The Observer as one of the 50 funniest acts on the scene.
Instantly recognisable as Tilly in Miranda, and as one of the four female writers and performers on Channel 4’s award-winning comedy sketch show, Smack the Pony, Sally won an Emmy Award for the Best Popular Arts Show in 1999 and 2000, and was nominated for Best Comedy Female Newcomer at the British Comedy Awards for her role on the show, and is a British household name.
