External Affairs Director
Chris has over 15 years of experience representing the convenience sector, having joined ACS in October 2009. As External Affairs Director, Chris is responsible for all ACS external communications, public affairs and policy strategy, media relations, a wide-ranging research portfolio which includes the industry leading Local Shop Report, and ACS' Assured Advice partnership with Surrey and Buckinghamshire Trading Standards.
Chris is an official spokesperson for ACS, appearing frequently in print, on national television and radio, to make the case for local shops to external audiences.
Chris has a MCIPR in Public Relations, a BA (Hons) in Language and Linguistics from the University of York and has completed courses at the University of Oxford's Said Business School on Executive Leadership, as well as Disruptive Digital Marketing. Chris has also completed a Strategic Marketing Masterclass with the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
