Retailers Hear from Tech Experts at ACS Technology Showcase

ACS hosted its second Technology Showcase on 25th February at the Imperial War Museum in London. The event saw a host of technology experts exhibit their innovative convenience concepts to a room full of the most influential people in the convenience sector.

Seven companies showcased their products on the day, explaining how they can help them to increase profits, drive footfall or save money.

Aerofoil Energy unveiled their energy saving Aerofoil metal strips. The strips are added to chiller shelf edges and retain up to 30% of the energy emitted, driving down store costs. More info: http://www.aerofoil-energy.co.uk/

Second to present were Baro Retail Lighting. They revealed the benefits of their high quality, high contrast and energy saving LED lighting, which can boost store sales by up 10-15%. More info: http://www.baero.com/index_en.htm

Scale to Sale is CBE's latest innovation. They have a new, simple method which reconciles sales between food scales and EPOS, saving on costs, while helping manage waste and lost stock more efficiently. More info: http://www.cbesoftware.co.uk/

Financial SatNav are taking away the administrative burdens of the pension auto-enrolment legislation with their new software. The lengthy process of auto-enrolling employees is essentially eliminated with their app and software systems. More info: http://fsatnav.com/

The event was drawn to a conclusion with a panel of some of the finest convenience retailers, Barry Wallis from SPAR, Dean Holborn from Holborns' and Sukhjit Khera from Simply Fresh, providing their opinions of the innovative ideas that were unveiled throughout the day.
