Prepare for #ShopKind Week at the End of June

ACS are encouraging everyone to get involved with ShopKind week, taking place later this month on the week commencing 30th June.

The campaign aims to raise awareness about violence towards shopworkers, while also acknowledging the essential role that they play in their communities and when serving customers.

  • Retailers can support ShopKind this year by:
  • Sharing #ShopKind assets across your social platforms
  • Displaying assets such as downloadable posters across your business
  • Getting staff involved with the campaign
  • Nominating someone in your organisation to be a ShopKind Champion

Figures from the ACS 2025 Crime Report found that there were 6.2 million incidents of shop theft last year, with 78% of retailers were dissatisfied with police presence in their communities. With the Westminster Hall Debate on increasing police presence on high streets taking place today (5th June), we highly encourage retailers to get involved the #ShopKind campaign to ensure that awareness continues to spread about the violence faced by shopworkers, and that it remains a priority for those working in the criminal justice system.

Free promotional materials are available to download on the official NBCC (National Business Crime Centre) website, such as poster print-outs and assets for social media to help promote the campaign. Retailers can develop their own assets as long as they follow the brand guidelines, which are available here.
