The shortlist for the Great British High Street Awards, run by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) in partnership with Visa and other partners, has been announced.
The Great British High Street Awards celebrate the UK’s best and most ambitious high streets, with winners receiving up to £15,000 in prize money.
Voting for the Champion High Street award and the Rising Star High Street award has now opened.
The Champion High Street award recognises the UK’s best high streets demonstrating strong local communities and who are leading the way to the high streets of the future. High streets are judged on four key areas: community, customer experience, environment and digital transformation.
The Rising Star High Street award celebrates up and coming local communities who are transforming for the future.
The High Street Hero Award will be judged by an independent panel of judges and representatives from the Daily Mirror.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in November. ACS chief executive James Lowman has been announced as a judge for the Great British High Street Awards 2019.
