Camelot Calling For Retailer Feedback on Excessive Play of National Lottery Products

Camelot has issued a new survey calling for feedback from retailers on how they can be supported if they’re concerned about a customer spending more than they can afford on National Lottery products.

The National Lottery provider is working with the Responsible Gambling Council to improve guidelines for retailers on how to approach excessive lottery play.

The aim of the survey is to ensure that retailers have the support that they need if they come across a situation where they are worried about a player. Camelot is confident that National Lottery games are low risk for players, but is aware that there are a small number of people that could encounter problems as part of a wider issue with excessive gambling.

The questions ask about retailers’ experiences of seeing excessive play in store and the actions taken to deal with the situation. The survey is completely confidential.

The survey is available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NationalLotteryRetailer and should only take a few minutes to complete.

The deadline for responses is 7th July 2017.
