It is now just over three weeks until ACS Summit18, the unmissable and leading industry event for the convenience sector. This year’s conference is taking place at The Vox, Resorts World, Birmingham on the 17th of April.

ACS’ Summit is the annual premier convenience store event, bringing together hundreds of retailers, suppliers and industry experts from around the globe in a debate about the future of the convenience store industry in the UK.

This year’s Summit will be divided into two exciting sessions, each featuring presentations from industry leaders, panel discussions and films highlighting the best of innovation within convenience stores. These two sessions will explore the opportunities and challenges that the convenience sector face and present retailers with ideas they can implement within their stores.

Speakers already confirmed for Summit include:

  • Lord Mark Price, former MD of Waitrose, and former trade minister
  • Jeremy White, Executive Editor of WIRED Magazine
  • Debbie Robinson, Managing Director of SPAR UK (session chair)

  • A video tour of some of the most innovative convenience stores in the UK and Europe presented by ACS Commercial Director Paul Chamberlain.

ACS chief executive James Lowman said: “Summit is a must-attend event for everyone working within the convenience sector, it’s a great opportunity for retailers and suppliers to learn from each other and build new relationships to help improve their businesses.”

After Summit, the ACS Explorers - a group of some of the leading retailers in the UK - will take to the stage at the National Convenience Show to share what they’ve discovered when seeking out some of the big issues and technological developments coming to the UK.
