ACS Welcomes Select & Save to Retail Membership

ACS is delighted to announce that symbol group Select & Save has joined ACS as retail members.

Select & Save was formed in 1997. Since its launch,  the convenience store symbol group for independent retailers has grown from 2 stores to over 100 across the UK, and is still growing. Select & Save retailers are supported by its central office in Birmingham. The group recently announced a deal with Bestway Wholesale to receive ambient, BWS, fresh and chilled deliveries from the Bestway Wholesale nationwide depot network.

ACS’ core purpose is to lobby Government on the issues that make a difference to local shops, supported by an expanding research programme designed to discover new information about the convenience sector which can be used to inform decision making both in Government and with those involved directly in the sector. As members of ACS, Select & Save retailers will be able to have their say on the key issues affecting their business, as well as free access to ACS’ programme of events throughout the year.

ACS chief executive James Lowman said: “Select & Save are important player in the growing convenience sector, providing essential goods and services to thousands of customers in a wide range of locations. We are delighted that Select & Save is joining ACS, as their membership will strengthen our voice when making representations to Government on the issues that matter to local shops.”
