ACS Urges Retailers to Share Experiences of Crime in 2019 Crime Survey

ACS is calling on retailers to share their experiences of retail crime over the last 12 months as part of the annual ACS Crime Survey 2019.

The survey looks at the impact that crime is having on retailers’ businesses, including the number of incidents they have experienced and how much crime has cost their business in the last 12 months. The survey also considers the causes of these crimes and the measures retailers have in place to prevent crime in their stores.

ACS chief executive James Lowman said: "Crime remains one of the biggest operational problems for local shops and its important that we collect and communicate information on the impact that crime has on our store colleagues and local communities.  I urge all retailers to take five minutes of their time to respond to the crime survey.”

“The survey will inform ACS’ Crime Report and help us build a case to Government Ministers, MPs and Police and Crime Commissioners that we need urgent action to tackle violence, verbal abuse and shop theft.”

The survey can be found here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/CrimeReport2019

The deadline for responses is 14th December 2018.
