The Association of Convenience Stores has recognised the incredible contribution of six convenience industry legends at the 2026 Community Dinner, held in Birmingham on 14th April 2026.
Following the success of ACS' 30th anniversary celebrations in 2025 where 30 people that have made a positive difference to ACS were recognised, the 2026 Community Dinner identified six people who have been longstanding supporters and advocates of ACS activity.
The people recognised at the 2026 Community Dinner were:
- Dennis, Linda and Sophie Williams (Premier Broadway)
- Suzanne Greenwell (Molson Coors)
- Benedict Selvaratnam (Freshfields Market)
- Victoria Lockie (Morrisons)
- Carl McEwan (Costa)
- Taranjhit Dhillon (AF Blakemore)
All six received a personalised scroll from the ACS team, detailing the importance of their support over the years.
At the dinner, and throughout the day at Conference26, we also remembered members of our retail family that have sadly passed over the last year, highlighting charities that have been recommended for donations by the families of Sue Nithyanandan, Nila Patel, and Emily Rockingham.
If you would like to donate to any of these charities, further information is available here
The ACS Community Dinner was hosted by Booker Managing Director - Retail and ACS Vice Chair, alongside Ruth Fawcett, Wholesale Associate Director at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners.
Special thanks to our sponsors for the ACS Community Dinner: Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Hatch Mansfield Wines, Molson Coors, and Suntory Global Spirits.
