ACS has promoted Chris Noice and Jordan Newfield to new roles to further strengthen its campaigning voice to Government.
From this week, Chris Noice has been promoted to External Affairs Director (previously Communications Director), taking on responsibility for strategy development and execution in government relations, research, media and communications at ACS. Jordan Newfield has been promoted to Head of Public Affairs (previously Public Affairs Manager) and will be leading ACS’ campaigning activity and engagement work with policymakers. The restructure follows the appointment of Ed Woodall as Chief Executive earlier this year.
ACS Chief Executive Ed Woodall said: “Chris and Jordan have been central to ACS’ success in championing local shops for many years. Their deep understanding of the sector, policy expertise and professionalism mean they are exceptionally well placed to lead our external affairs work and ensure ACS continues to deliver the strongest possible voice for retailers in government, parliament and the media.”
External Affairs Director Chris Noice said: “ACS’ campaigning voice at the heart of Government and in the national media continues to go from strength to strength, which has only been possible with the support of our members. I am committed to keeping up this momentum to navigate a fast-changing communications and policy landscape, and delighted to be taking on this new challenge at ACS with an incredible team of talented people.”
Head of Public Affairs Jordan Newfield said: “I’m delighted to be taking on this role at a genuinely pivotal moment for the sector. From employment costs and business rates to retail crime and DRS, the range of issues facing retailers has rarely been broader - and the case for getting them right has never been stronger. I’m looking forward to working with the team to make sure that case is heard, in Westminster and beyond.”
