ACS Announces Innovation Showcase Shortlist!

ACS (the Association of Convenience Stores) has announced the shortlist of companies who will be present at the 2020 Innovation Showcase.

Taking place virtually on 25th November, ACS’ Innovation Showcase is the unique chance for retailers and suppliers to come together to explore the latest products and services set to transform the sector.

The following companies have been shortlisted:

  • Fwip: self-serve machine offering gelato, sorbet and frozen yogurt
  • Quail Digital: high quality headsets for staff communication and safety in stores
  • St Pierre Groupe: food-to-go range including croissants, brioche waffles, pain au chocolat and more
  • Stroodles: pasta straws as an alternative to paper or plastic straws
  • Too good to go: a mobile application that connects customers to restaurants and stores that have unsold, surplus food
  • General Mills: Old El Paso Tortilla Pocket – a tortilla pocket with a spill-free bottom to make Mexican meal kits less complicated

On the day, the shortlisted entries will be evaluated by a panel of retailers who will offer their expert opinion on the product or service.

Innovation Showcase panellist, Susan Connolly, Connolly Spar, said: “I love the Innovation Showcase because it brings me up to speed with some of the best new developments and gives me a chance to question the suppliers and discuss what I’ve seen with fellow retailers.”
