Budget 2017

ACS has called for HMRC’s Making Tax Digital reforms to be delayed to 2019/20 in its Budget submission, to allow retailers to prepare their account procedures at reasonable cost and ensure pilot schemes can fully inform the online account system.

In the submission, ACS called for action on business rates to extend Rural Rate Relief for petrol forecourt sites, review turnover-based rating methodologies and overturn proposals that would undermine the accuracy of the appeals system.
