DfT: E10 Petrol, Consumer Protection and Fuel Pump Labelling

The Department for Transport has launched a consultation which seeks feedback on:

  • proposals to ensure a continued supply of traditional E5 petrol for those motorists who will need it
  • a call for evidence on whether and how best to introduce E10 petrol
  • proposals to implement new fuel labelling as required by the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Directive
  • plans to change the consumer message that must accompany the sale of E10

LINK: Access to Cash Review

The Access to Cash Review, announced earlier this year by LINK, has launched a call for evidence. The review will be independently Chaired by the former Head of the Financial Ombudsman Service, Natalie Ceeney CBE and sponsored by LINK. The Review will be supported by a panel of consumer of industry experts who will consider and examine the future needs of consumers across the UK and provide recommendations on how the UK should best respond to the challenges, and opportunities of consumers’ evolving relationship with cash and payments over the next 15 years

Scottish Government - A Deposit Return Scheme for Scotland

The Scottish Government has launched a consultation on the options for elements of a deposit return scheme on beverage containers. In 2017, the Scottish Government confirmed in their Programme for Government that they would introduce a deposit return scheme in Scotland.
