Retailers Urged to Take Part in 2017 Crime Survey

ACS is calling on retailers to share their experiences of retail crime over the last 12 months as part of the Crime Survey 2017.

The survey asks retailers to outline the number of incidents of crime they have experienced, including shop theft, robberies and anti-social behavioural incidents. The survey also looks into the causes of these crimes and what measures retailers have in place to prevent crime from happening in their stores.

ACS Chief Executive James Lowman said: “The information that we present to Ministers on the impact of crime on the convenience sector is crucial in ensuring that retail crime is taken seriously at both a local and national level. We urge as many retailers as possible to complete the survey this year, as only with your help can we further build on the report’s influence in Government in 2017.”

The survey can be found here: The deadline for responses is 9th December 2016.

The results will feature in ACS’ Crime Report 2017 which will be launched at the ACS Crime Seminar in March. The 2016 Crime Report and Guidance, can be found here:
