Independent Retailer meets his Store’s Local PPCs

Independent convenience retailer, Jinx Hundal, was joined by his shop’s Prospective Parliamentary Candidates (PPC) at his One Stop store in his local constituency of Norwich South on 28th April.

Jinx invited his store’s PPCs to visit his store to discuss the important role that his shop plays within the local community and to discuss pressing issues which affect his business on a day-to-day basis.

“It was interesting to hear each party’s plans and challenge them on issues that affect our day to day business, including crime, minimum wage and business rates” said Jinx. “I urge other retailers to invite their candidates to their store, as it is important for small businesses, especially in the convenience sector to voice their concerns.”

During the store visits, a vast variety of topics were discussed including experiences of crime and criminal activity, the National Minimum Wage and the closure of the local post office.

Prospective Parliamentary Candidates who visited Jinx’s store include: Clive Lewis – Labour, Lesley Grahame - Green Party and Steve Emmens - UKIP.
