Convenience Store magazine is looking for the sales assistant of the year 2014.
The overall winner will be crowned at a spectacular lunch at The Dorchester on Tuesday 11 November and claim a £1,000 prize.
As an added incentive, the store manager who enters the overall Sales Assistant of the Year 2014 will also pick up a £250 prize.
The judges will be looking for the best Sales Assistant in the following categories with each category winner claiming £500:
- THE INDEPENDENT SECTOR: Fewer than nine stores, whether affiliated to a symbol group or operating under its own brand
- THE MULTIPLE SYMBOL SECTOR: Part of a chain of 10 stores or more under the same ownership, trading under a recognised symbol brand
- THE CO-OPERATIVE AND MULTIPLE SECTOR: 10 or more stores under the same ownership, trading under a co-operative or retail brand
- THE FORECOURT SECTOR: Any store on a garage forecourt, whether under co-operative, multiple, symbol or independent brand
- THE SPECIALIST SECTOR (NEW FOR 2014): Any store that boasts a specialist focus such as a post office, an off-licence, farm shop or a CTN.
