One Week Left Until Heart of the Community 2019!

There is just one week remaining until the Heart of the Community Conference, taking place on Tuesday 15th October. 

Heart of the Community is the must-attend political conference exploring the issues relevant to politicians, retailers and consumers.

The conference will bring together retailers from across the convenience sector to; hear the latest from leading experts on the policy issues affecting the sector, network with a diverse range of retailers and meet MPs at an exclusive drinks reception on the House of Commons Terrace.

Award-winning presenter and Political Editor for Good Morning Britain Ranvir Singh, will address the conference, providing political context and insight.

This year’s conference will focus on three key areas:

  • Food- The changing food landscape: health, taste and waste.
  • Services- The changing nature of in-store services for local communities.
  • Crime- Delivering an end to violence and abuse.

Small Business Minister Kelly Tolhurst MP will be speaking at the Parliamentary Reception where she will be providing an overview of the government’s work to support local shops and the high streets on which they trade. Kelly Tolhurst MP is the Minister responsible for small businesses, labour markets, Post Offices, the Retail Sector Council and entire retail sector.  

The event takes place at One Birdcage Walk, Westminster between 10.45am-3pm, followed by a Parliamentary Reception from 4-6pm.
