ACS Launches Dedicated Assured Advice for E-Cigarettes

ACS has today launched a new guide to help retailers with the sale and supply of e-cigarettes and other vaping products.

The guide, which is part of the wider group of Assured Advice guides, covers the regulations that govern the sale and supply of e-cigarettes, retailers’ responsibilities when selling these products, how to ensure that packaging and labelling are compliant with the regulations, and advice on how to ensure that underage sales do not take place.

Face Coverings No Longer Mandatory in Shops

ACS (the Association of Convenience Stores) is encouraging customers to be respectful of individual store policies around face coverings as England moves away from Plan B restrictions.

From today (January 27th), the Government is moving to plan A, which removes the legal requirement to wear a face covering in shops and other indoor spaces. However, the Government advice remains that face coverings are advised in these places to help stop the spread of Covid-19.

ACS Launches Expanded Challenge25 Campaign to Support Colleagues in Local Shops

ACS (the Association of Convenience Stores) has launched a new campaign to boost awareness of Challenge25 among consumers and support colleagues in local shops selling age restricted products.

Challenge25 is a long running successful policy created to support colleagues who are doing their job by enforcing the law on age restricted sales. The policy, which urges colleagues to check for proof of age for anyone that might look 25 or under, is most commonly used for alcohol purchases but also applies to all other age restricted products.
