The House of Commons Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee have launched a call for evidence to inform their inquiry into developing the electric vehicles market and infrastructure. The inquiry looks into how do charging infrastructure requirements differ for alternative types of vehicle, journey, and user; and how should new infrastructure for electric vehicles and associated grid reinforcements be sustainably funded.
The House of Commons Automated and Electric Vehicles Bill Committee launched a call for evidence on the Automated and Electric Vehicles Bill which includes provisions that would mandate large fuel retailers and service area operators to provide electric vehicle charging points and hydrogen refuelling stations on their sites.
The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy are consulting on possible new measures to maintain the security of fuel supply to consumers.
