Planning (Wales) Bill

The Planning Wales Bill seeks to streamline the planning process and establish a more consistent system across Welsh planning authorities. The consultation is an inquiry by the Environment and Sustainability Committee into the general principles of the Planning (Wales) Bill. The Bill will be debated next by the Welsh Assembly and will be passed in 2015.

ACS’ submitted a submission on the 7th November which focuses on drawing the Welsh Government’s attention to ensuring an inclusive planning policy exists to support viable town centres, and that proper mechanisms must exist to ensure developments can be properly challenged by communities
