Help and Support

Retail members can benefit from ACS’ legal support. ACS members are entitled to 30-minutes free over-the-phone consultation with experts covering a range of areas impacting a convenience store business, including:

  • Legal
  • Employment (contracts, employment law, data protection)
  • Property (business rates, planning issues)
  • Licensing (alcohol, fireworks)
  • Dispute Resolution (utility contracts and billing issues)
  • Energy
  • Wellbeing

ACS can also provide members with template employment documents covering a range of circumstances, including: staff handbooks, employment contracts, flexible working requests. GroceryAid provides a confidential Helpline which is available 24/7 to assist callers across a wide range of subjects, from financial to personal issues. For people who prefer not to call in, there is a web-based range of self-help tools and advice, including online chat.
