Knowledge Transfer: Oxford University

The Knowledge Transfer Partnership is the product of a collaboration between ACS and the University of Oxford that seeks to better understand the economic, social and environmental contributions that local shops make to their communities.

With support from Dr Jonathan Reynolds at the Oxford Institute for Retail Management , Thomas Hastings, an Oxford University research associate, is currently working on a two year programme of research with the aim of contributing to the academic evidence base that exists and providing fresh and valuable insights into the convenience store sector.

This research will assist in ACS’ policy work and will also generate practical initiatives to be trialled in stores to benefit ACS members.
