The Smarter Business Forum is an opportunity for retailers to find out have to run their business more effectively. There will be speakers discussing how to protect yourself from unfair energy contracts, ensure you are paying the correct business rates, how to reclaim money from PPL and how to reduce energy consumption.
Speakers for the event include:
- Sean Liversage from Ikara on the problems that retailers can have in persuading banks and investors to support their business and the types of things that businesses can do to make their case more effectively.
- Gosia Rees from Ofgem the Energy Ombudsman on how retailers can make their voice heard on energy problems
- Tony Jemmett on challenging business rates revaluations, available rate reliefs and examples of successful retailers
- Jonathan James of James Graven & Sons on the measures he’s taken in store to become more environmental
