Keep Britain Tidy Launches New Anti-Smoking Litter Video

Keep Britain Tidy has recently released an online film highlighting the problem of litter caused by smoking. The film depicts Londoners battling through the capital against a sea of giant cigarette butts, and concludes with footage of the Thames filled with giant cigarette ends and the strapline ‘it’s no small problem’.

The film comes as research by Keep Britain tidy has shown that around 98% of local authorities see smoking related litter as a problem in their community, and almost two thirds (60%) of local authorities have seen an increase in complaints about discarded cigarette butts since the ban.

Keep Britain Tidy is one of the foremost environmental charities in the UK, heading up England’s anti-litter campaigns.
