ACS to Represent Sector at Contactless Technology Conference

25 Mar 2009

Contactless payment systems have been launched in London and are set to roll out all over the UK by 2012. These payment systems allow customers to wave their credit or debit card in front of the scanner and immediate payment of up to £10 is made. Speed at the till is reduced dramatically, and for this reason the technology has already been embraced by sectors such as coffee shops and fast food outlets.

ACS recognises that the convenience sector face issues with contactless technology, mainly around transaction cost and we will be representing the sector at the Contactless Intelligence Spring Conference on 1st April in London.
