British Bankers' Association - Commitment to Small Businesses Underpinned

03 Nov 2008

Moves to strengthen the banks' commitment to their small business customers have been outlined by the British Bankers' Association (BBA). Following a recent letter to all Members of Parliament, chief executive Angela Knight announced that the BBA would be redrawing the Statement of Principles to beef up the promise banks make to business customers.

The BBA is to host a pathfinder meeting with high-level Government contacts next week with a view to having a draft of the revised Statement of Principles ready in time for the proposed industry roundtable currently being arranged by BERR.
