Retail Minister to Complete Speaker Line Up

Ian Lucas, Minister for the Retail sector has been confirmed as a speaker for ACS’ Heart of the Community Event taking place at the Imperial War Museum in London on 3rd November. Lucas completes the line up for the event and will join Mark Prisk MP and Jeremy Browne MP as the key note speakers from each of the parties. Mark Prisk is the Conservative Minster for Business and has worked with ACS on planning, the tobacco display ban and access to credit for small businesses. Jeremy Browne is the Liberal Democrat Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury and will speak about the Liberal Democrat Manifesto and the policies that will support ACS’ members.

The seminar will also feature a roundtable discussion including John Grogan, Labour MP and long term supporter of ACS, Anne McIntosh, Conservative Environment Minister and campaigner for harsher punishments to prevent shoplifting and Danny Alexander, Liberal Democrat Manifesto co-ordinator. Delegates will have the opportunity to ask questions from the floor about the next general election and to raise concerns about policy in general.
