Picture Health Warnings on Cigarette Packets

Retailers are reminded that they are only permitted to sell cigarette packets that do not carry pictorial health warnings until 30th September.
It will be an offence to sell cigarettes without pictorial health warnings after this date and if caught, retailers could face a maximum penalty of six months imprisonment or a fine of up to £5000, or both.
Retailers can sell all other tobacco products without pictorial health warnings until 30 September 2010.
