Following the Department of Health’s expansion of its Change4Life program to stores in key areas across the country, ACS is providing Change4Life Point of Sale packs to retailers at cost price to help grow sales of fruit and vegetables in store.

The packs are available for £16.60 plus £5.94 postage (total £22.54), and contain the following items:

ACS Chief Executive James Lowman said:'Change4Life has been at the heart of the convenience store sector's efforts to grow sales of produce, particularly in deprived areas. Working with the Department of Health and using the Change4Life branding, members have grown produce sales by nearly 50 percent, bringing significant and lasting change to those stores and for the communities they serve.'

The Change4Life Healthy Eating project is part of the Government’s wider strategy to make us all live healthier lives and to halt the rising tide of obesity. If we do nothing, experts say that by 2050, 90 per cent of today's children will be overweight and at risk from serious diseases and this is likely to cost the NHS an estimated £50 billion.
