Book Your Place on the ACS Energy Forum

22 May 2009

Small businesses have been getting a raw deal when it comes to energy for many years. Action is now being taken by Ofgem, the main industry regulator, following the recent probe into the relationships between energy companies and small businesses.

Some of the recommendations that they have made include bringing an end to roll over contracts and at ACS’ Energy Forum Ofgem will be speaking about the inquiry, giving delegates a chance to hear what is being done and to voice their concerns.

Also speaking will be the Utilities Intermediaries Association (UIA), a Trade Association for those Third Party Intermediaries (TPIs) facilitating energy purchasing contracts between supplier and consumer, on the code of practice that they have developed for their members. Delegates will also hear from ACS’ energy advisor, John Lyons from The Bottom Line, on how to avoid disputes with energy suppliers, finding a way through complicated contract tie-ins and changing suppliers.

Finally, ACS will give an update on the political work that we have been doing and potential future political developments. This will be a constructive day with much debate around a topic that so many of you feel very passionate about.

The event takes place on Wednesday 3rd June at the him! offices in Farringdon. To book your free place at this event or for more information ring Hele Davies on 01252 515001 or email helen.davies@acs.org.uk.
