DEFRA have now published their approved Battery Compliance Schemes (BCS). Retailers that sell more than 32kg of batteries will be required to offer customers a collection service for used batteries as of 1st February next year.

Retailers are advised to contact their nearest scheme to arrange for containers and PoS material in advance.

It is expected that DEFRA will also publish POS material in October which ACS will make available for download.
