Decide Your Community Hero!
Online voting is now open for the Proctor & Gamble (P&G) sponsored ACS Community Heroes Award 2008.
All the entries to the Proctor &Gamble sponsored award were fantastic examples of how local shops play an integral part in local communities, but only three could be shortlisted.
The three finalists are:
• Nigel Dowdney, owner of two local shops in Norfolk
• Jonathan James of James Graven & Sons in Cambridgeshire
• Nita Shah of Hermitage Post Office and Stores in Berkshire
All three finalists have won places to ACS’ Summit ’08 and the winner of the Community Heroes Award will be announced at the Gala Dinner where they will be presented with a cheque for £1000.
ACS Chief Executive, James Lowman said; “Being at the heart of the community is what makes convenience store retailing special. People like last year’s winners, the Lovells, are a shining beacon for the sector. ACS is delighted to be able to recognise that and grateful to P&G for making it possible. We expect to find yet more community heroes this year.”
