13 Mar 2007
The Association of Convenience Stores (ACS), the campaigning voice of local shops, has appointed a new director to head up its commercial department.
Paul Chamberlain will join the Association on March 15th to build on the success of ACS’ events and membership activities.
The enhanced role includes responsibility for building relations between ACS and manufacturers in the Premier Club.
Paul’s background is in magazine circulation and distribution having previously worked for Martin McColl’s and Comag Magazine Marketing, and he joins ACS from a commercial role for Dawson’s News.
Paul Chamberlain says: “I am delighted to be joining ACS as it is an opportunity to support the convenience sector by maintaining and growing the commercial activity undertaken by the Association. I am keen to shape the services and activities at ACS to support retailer and supplier objectives.”
James Lowman, ACS Chief Executive, said: “I am delighted to welcome Paul on board. ACS’ profile has grown hugely over the last 18 months and alongside this it is important to build on ACS’ commercial activities. Paul’s role is to make our events such as Summit even better and more successful than in previous years, and to make our relationships with all members more meaningful than ever.”
