ACS Launches New Logo & Website

01 Oct 2007

ACS (Association of Convenience Stores) has unveiled a new website and logo. The new look serves to crystallise ACS’ core identity, and affirms the organisation as ‘the voice of local shops’. The new website builds on ACS’ successful online communication bringing new branding, new content, simpler navigation and a new website address.

From 1 October, information about ACS can be found at www.acs.org.uk. The new, crisper branding and logo will be applied across ACS’s literature over the next few weeks.

www.acs.org.uk is instantly simpler to use, right from the home page, thanks to a new navigation system. Visitors are invited to select how they would like to use the website. For example, if you identify yourself as ‘retailer’ from the choice available you will find it easier and faster to find the most relevant information tailored to your needs.

ACS has consolidated information on the website, grouping it into fewer, clearer categories, such as ‘advice’, ‘political work’, ‘news industry’, ‘events’ and so forth. ACS has also added new dynamic features to the website. For the first time, the website enables visitors to join ACS or renew their membership online. They can also pay for other ACS events and services via the website. Visitors can also sign up for updates via email alerts to keep them abreast of legislation and news.

ACS Chief Executive James Lowman said: “We are very excited about our new look. We believe that this encapsulates who we are and explains what we do perfectly. In our political and media work we are the voice of local shops, the strength and credibility of that voice comes from the 33,000 shops we represent.

“Our website has been a major success attracting over 33,000 unique visitors per month, we have already seen year on year growth of 40%, However it is important to change and upgrade. The new site, to be found at www.acs.org.uk, is a major step forward, with a modern, simple look and a focus on easy navigation. acs.org.uk is the place to go whether you’re a retailer looking for advice, or a researcher wanting to know more about our industry.”
