Smile Stores the Latest Multiple to Join ACS

Smile Stores Ltd, the retail arm of the Symonds Holdings Group, are the newest multiple chain to join the Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) bringing 100 neighbourhood shops into membership.
Voted 16th in the Grocer’s Top 50 Independents in 2006, Smile Stores are a family company based in Yeovil that has operated a range of wholesale and retail businesses for three generations.
Smile tailors its stores to the particular needs of the local community and offers a wide range of services and products throughout the day.
Jeremy Symonds, Chief Executive of Smile Stores said: “I am delighted to have joined ACS. As Smile Stores business has developed, the work that ACS undertakes to help the sector has become more significant to us. We look forward to playing an active role in the Association and benefiting from the networking opportunities and events”
James Lowman, ACS Chief Executive said: “We are delighted that Smile has come into ACS membership. They are an important regional multiple within the convenience sector and I am certain their affiliation with ACS will be successful and mutually beneficial.
